Expiration Dates & Re-certification
Asbestos Classes - Washington State Certified
- Asbestos Worker
- Asbestos Supervisor
There is no longer a 30-day grace period. You must take a refresher on or before your expiration date. If you fail to take a refresher class on or before your expiration date, you have six months after that date to attend a refresher class but you must also take and pass a Department of Labor and Industries exam in order to be re-certified. This exam must be taken at an asbestos training provider such as Argus Pacific. However, if you go longer than six months past your expiration date without taking a refresher class, you are required to retake the initial certification class.
