Maplewood Elementary School Pool Area Mold Services

In 2005, Argus Pacific evaluated suspected visible mold growth in the Maplewood School pool area. We found excess moisture and visible mold growth in gypsum wallboard (GWB), likely caused by two inoperable humidity control units in the HVAC system. Our consultant developed a remediation protocol, which included the removal of GWB and insulation on the affected wall. When the work was completed, we conducted an exit evaluation to confirm proper remediation. Our final report included several recommendations: repair and proper maintenance of the HVAC system, application of mold inhibiting paints, and continual relative humidity monitoring.
