1. Washington State certified asbestos classes
- Asbestos Worker
- Asbestos Supervisor
If you are coming to Washington with a certification from another state, you must meet all of the following to gain certification in Washington:
- Possess a current valid certification from the other state
- Washington's L&I must evaluate the other state's qualification procedures and determine if the certification meets Washington's minimum requirements
- Take a one-day refresher
- Present two forms of valid identification

2. EPA certified asbestos classes and other classes
- Building Inspector Initial
- Management Planner
- Project Designer
- Hazardous Waste
- Hexavalent Chromium
If you are coming to Washington with a certification from another state, it will be accepted here. Washington has no state-based certification program for these classes. However, your certification must be current (non-expired).
