Elisabeth Black, MS, CIH, has more than 15 years' experience in industrial hygiene consulting in the Northwest. She has expertise as a project manager in hazardous building materials, program development, noise exposure assessments, and hazardous waste sites. Her clients have included both federal and commercial organizations, with a special emphasis on manufacturing environments. Elisabeth enjoys working with industry and the labor force, keeping the whole picture in mind when evaluating worker health and safety issues. She balances scientific fact, employer resources, and worker needs to find common sense solutions that ensure a healthy workplace and regulatory compliance. Elisabeth holds a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Minnesota.

Alison Robinson joined Argus Pacific in July 2007 as an Occupational Health and Safety trainer. She currently teaches HAZWOPER 40-hour, HAZWOPER Refresher, Hazard Communication, Confined Spaces, Respiratory Protection, Lead Awareness, and Asbestos Awareness. Before joining Argus Pacific, Alison was a trainer and consultant at an environmental safety firm in Michigan where she taught a variety of Health and Safety classes similar to those offered at Argus Pacific. She is also NIOSH 582 certified and has conducted many asbestos project consultations in the field. Alison's veteran instructional abilities are also built upon her past extensive secondary school science teaching and administration experience. Alison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science from Western Michigan University.

Neil Callahan, Principal is Argus Pacific's Managing Consultant for our Port of Seattle contract. He has over 20 years' experience providing clients with industrial hygiene, regulated materials, indoor environmental quality, mold, safety, and training solutions. In addition to his Port responsibilities, Neil currently manages all of Argus Pacific's mold work, and is a regulatory compliance instructor at both the OSHA Region 10 Training Institute Education Center at the University of Washington and at the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Since co-founding Argus Pacific, Neil has managed hazardous material abatement, complex indoor environmental quality evaluation, and remediation projects for numerous large projects in Seattle's urban core and beyond. His steadfast commitment to controlling costs has given Argus Pacific the reputation of a firm that maintains budgets. Neil holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Safety from Antioch University.

Susan Kimball has over 15 years' instruction experience. She currently teaches courses in asbestos, supervisor health and safety, hazard communications, hazardous waste operations, DOT hazardous materials transportation, and emergency spill response, as well as various other health and safety training topics. She also teaches several classes at the OSHA Region X Training Institute Education Center at the University of Washington. In addition, she has expertise in oxygen tank use and curriculum development. Before joining Argus Pacific, Susan was a trainer in several industries, including four years as an instructor for a large abatement contractor.

Jennifer Loiselle has been Argus Pacific's Training Coordinator since 2004. With her excellent interpersonal and administrative skills, Jennifer makes 'the Argus experience' a smooth one for all our students. She completes all open enrollment class registrations, processes student payments, issues certificates, and often sets up the classrooms too. Jennifer plays a key part in developing custom class proposals, ensuring that each proposal meets the client's needs and Argus Pacific’s standards. In addition, she conducts qualitative and quantitative respirator fit tests, both at our offices and on-site. Behind the scenes, Jennifer produces internal reports, coordinates our trainers' schedules, and serves on Argus Pacific's Safety Committee. In addition, she is a Certified Building Inspector, working on consulting projects as needed. Jennifer was certified for Radiation Safety by the University of Washington in 2002. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seattle University.
Sue Maas, CHMM is Argus Pacific's Training Division Manager, although she's been a Trainer with the firm since 1997, our first year in business. She has over 15 years of training and training management experience in the Pacific Northwest, and is one of the most recognized instructors in the regional HazMat industry. Sue has trained over 10,000 students from a wide variety of public and private sector organizations including engineering, hazardous waste, construction, environmental consulting, and asbestos abatement. She combines her experience with a professional commitment to training excellence, bringing maximum value to Argus Pacific's students. Sue is on the board of directors of the Pacific NW Chapter of the Association of Hazardous Materials Managers and assists the chapter in planning the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager Overview Course. Before joining Argus Pacific, Sue was the Training Manager for another Seattle Industrial Hygiene firm. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology-Geology from Whitman College, and a Teaching Certificate in Secondary Science from the University of Washington.

Shannon MacKay has been with Argus Pacific since 2001, and recently began serving as a Construction Manager for the Port of Seattle's Port Construction Services. In that role, she does project design, cost estimating, and abatement oversight, and works with a diverse group of contractors. Before taking on her new responsibilities, Shannon was a Field Technician, performing building inspections and numerous asbestos and lead surveys. For two years, she also served as Training Coordinator for the City of Seattle's Department of Planning and Development under our contract. In all of her roles, Shannon has demonstrated her thorough understanding of the details and the big picture.

John Caparimo is an industrial hygiene technician with 3 years' in-depth experience on hazardous materials projects. As an industrial hygienist, John conducts technical fieldwork and prepares deliverables for industrial hygiene consulting projects. Areas of fieldwork experience include air monitoring, noise monitoring, exposure assessments, and AHERA building inspections. Prior to joining us in 2007, John provided hazardous building materials project oversight for multiple large school projects and public agency remodeling projects in the Puget Sound area. John holds and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Siena College.

Melodie McNab joined Argus Pacific in July 2006 as a Mold and Moisture Intrusion Specialist. She has a unique and valuable perspective within our firm on remediating mold and water damage; she previously worked as a Restoration Specialist with a local Cleaning and Restoration firm. In that position, Melodie managed the entire cleaning and drying process, from initial contact through remediation to post-service follow-up. She has a thorough knowledge of mitigation techniques for sewer, mold, and water damage, as well as a focus on the quick service required to minimize damages and remediation expenses. Melodie is an Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) Water Restoration Technician.

Chuck Mitchell is a Trainer, Project Manager and Training Division Business Development Manager at Argus Pacific. He has more than 15 years' experience in the health and safety industry, and is a highly regarded trainer in the Northwest. Chuck volunteers as the Hazardous Substance Training Coordinator for the OSHA Region X Training Institute Education Center at the University of Washington and he has extensive experience in curriculum development. Chuck has a passion for spreading the word on safety, and his optimism and enthusiasm set him apart as he strives for customer satisfaction. Before joining Argus Pacific, Chuck owned and operated his own training and consulting company. He is retired from a 25-year fire service career including time as a Redmond Fire Department Lieutenant and Snohomish County Fire Commissioner. He holds training and leadership certificates from the National Fire Academy and Texas A&M, and recently received a Health and Safety Specialist certification from the University of Washington. Chuck holds an Associate Degree in Fire Command Administration from Edmonds Community College.

Scott Parker, MS, Principal, has managed all aspects of regulated building materials consulting throughout Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. He addresses clients' needs with an experienced approach to practical risk management. By possessing a thorough understanding of regulations, enforcement, and public relations, Scott quickly cuts through the confusion of conflicting information to identify clear objectives and provide the necessary resources to accomplish the client's goals with the most efficient, yet risk-balanced, approach. He holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Springfield College.
Rebecca Reichert joined Argus Pacific in early 2007 as the Training Coordinator because of her special interests in education and the environment. With her excellent administrative skills, Rebecca makes 'the Argus experience' a smooth one for all our students. She completes all open enrollment class registrations, processes student payments, issues certificates, and often sets up the classrooms. Rebecca also plays a key role in developing custom class proposals, ensuring that each proposal meets the client's needs and Argus Pacific's standards. Behind the scenes, Rebecca produces internal reports and coordinates our trainers' travel and schedules. Prior to joining Argus Pacific, Rebecca was a substitute teacher for several school districts. She holds a Bachelor of Fine and Applied Art from Seattle Pacific University and two Washington State teaching certificates in Education and Art Education.

Scott Rinear SCOTT RINEAR joined Argus Pacific as a Field Technician in the spring of 2006. Through his work for us on the Skykomish town remediation project, Scott demonstrated his intelligence, integrity, and capabilities. He previously worked as an Assistant Contract Manager for a local contractor, where he gained experience in both administration and hands-on construction work. During college, Scott spent six weeks in Sweden leading a field research project on insect-plant interactions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Environmental Studies from Whitman College in 2003.
John Terrill brings 22 years' experience to the role of industrial hygienist at Argus Pacific. He is a hazardous materials specialist possessing practical knowledge of a variety of industrial hygiene issues from asbestos and worker safety to chemical exposure. John has extensive experience performing comprehensive regulatory compliance surveys and design for public facilities and has acted as the on-site consultant on a number of large construction projects involving hazardous work environments. His experience extends to health and emergency response plan design and OSHA compliance. John holds an Associate Degree in Chemical Engineering Technology.
Joe White has over 20 years' training experience in the field of occupational health and safety as well as hazardous materials management and hazardous waste. Joe is a specialist in curriculum development in additional topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and construction safety. He engages his students by implementing adult learning techniques to keep the classes interesting and relevant. He has taught thousands of students from a variety of sectors: construction; heavy industry; education; domestic and international corporations; and local, state, and federal agencies. Joe holds an Associate Degree in Environmental Safety/Hazardous Materials Management.

Meagan Yoshimoto is an Industrial Hygienist and Trainer with Argus Pacific. Since 2005, Meagan has been a valuable member of the Argus Pacific team. Meagan is experienced in the recognition and evaluation of chemical and physical workplace hazards. She is adept at data interpretation and evaluation as it pertains to regulatory criteria and compliance. Meagan has assessed indoor air quality, developed health and safety plans, and performed hazardous building materials surveys and designs for clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys working in a variety of settings, including public schools, hospitals, fire stations, ports, financial institutions, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities. As a trainer, she frequently teaches our Asbestos Awareness classes. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences from the University of Washington.

Jim Catalano, CIH, has worked in the field of industrial hygiene for 30 years as an educator, compliance officer, scientist, and consultant. He has a comprehensive knowledge of state and federal occupational health and safety regulations, expertise in the development and implementation of health and safety programs and site safety plans, and experience conducting health and safety audits of industrial and construction work sites.
In addition, Jim has provided asbestos, lead, risk management, and oversight for a variety of public and private clients and supervised statewide compliance activities related to abatement, hazardous waste operations, and chemical process safety management. Jim, a Certified Industrial Hygienist, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Ohio.

Nicole Gladu has 16 years of experience consulting and training in environmental management and occupational health and safety. Prior to joining Argus Pacific, Nicole was a national account manager and technical director for an international health, safety, and environmental firm. She was responsible for technical operations related to asbestos, lead, and other regulated building materials for all North American operations. In addition, she worked with clients to identify, understand, and manage their environmental risk.
Nicole is also a nationally recognized trainer for asbestos-related courses and has trained thousands of students across North America. Her dynamic training style and ability to link training to real-world situations results in active student participation in classes and measurable results for companies. Nicole’s experience, commitment to quality, and customer service has given her a reputation as a leader within the industry and a consultant that clients can trust.

Conor Foley brings his leadership skills and enthusiasm for industrial hygiene work to his position at Argus Pacific. As an integral part of our technical team, he performs fieldwork including asbestos and lead paint sampling and reporting. Conor’s experience goes beyond building inspections to laboratory analysis of asbestos and lead-containing materials. Conor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from the University of Washington.

Christopher Selders has 7 years of experience as a project manager in both public and private sectors, focusing on hazardous materials, lead paint, hexavalent chromium and microbial assessments. He has managed hazardous building materials identification, plans, specifications, air monitoring, and abatement oversight for renovations and large building demolition projects. Christopher holds an Associate Degree from Leeward Community College, Pearl City, Hawaii.

Tim Nickell performs air and noise monitoring, reviews health and safety plans, and performs field services and research on a variety of projects as an Industrial Hygienist for Argus Pacific. He has experience in multi-site operations management, project management, and reporting on special projects. Prior to joining our firm, Tim was a service representative for a large global aerospace company where he oversaw waste profiling, environmental reporting, waste identification, and removal services including transportation of hazardous materials, according to federal and state regulations. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, Arizona.
